Our production is made in the Arluno plants (Greater Milano Area), supported by local suppliers and the most skilled Italian crafters. We firmly believe in craft and genuine production. Our skills and experience, together with passion for technical innovation, have been adopted throughout the manufacturing process to achieve lamps with great attention to every detail. Lumina was founded in Milan by Tommaso Cimini: it was 1980. His first lamp, Daphine (1975), was already a perfect synthesis of function and shape. Still today, Daphine represents Lumina design and philosophy. This elegant yet minimal light fitting soon became an icon of the Italian Made in Italy and was displayed in some of the most famous Museums of Modern Art and Design in the world. Year after year the catalogue was increased with successful models and famous designers. Ettore Cimini, the first son of Tommaso, joined Lumina very young as a designer and has been running the company since 2008. Nowadays, Lumina light fittings are available in almost 50 different countries and the exports turnover is about 95% of the total production volume.
